This position is remote-eligible to individuals living in the United States. Preference given to candidates residing in Colorado. At this time, we are accepting applications from all states except California, New York and Washington.

The Job

We’re looking for an experienced PR Associate Manager or PR Account Manager to work on a portfolio of leading active lifestyle brands. Account Managers act as the primary client contact, developing and executing the PR strategy for 3-5 brands. Associate Managers provide support to an Account Manager or Senior Manager. This position reports to the VP Earned Media and a PR Directors. Priority will be given to candidates with proven PR and communications experience. 

The Work

• Develop and execute strategic PR plans that deliver on client goals
• Comprehensive, effective account management – organizing regular client communications, meetings, and reporting
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key media
• Regularly pitch client stories to media and follow up on story opportunities
• Develop, organize, and attend press trips on behalf of clients
• Attend tradeshows and sales meetings
• Develop effective press releases and compelling content for clients

• Create and maintain targeted media distribution lists and build new media relationships
• Monitor for client media coverage
• Manage product seeding and shipping to media
• Keep abreast of each client’s industry, competition and media coverage

The Essentials

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field
• PR Associate Manager: 1+ year of PR or related marketing experience
• PR Account Manager: 2+ years of PR experience
• Personal or professional experience with hunting and/or fishing preferred, but not required

Your Capabilities

• Strong writing skills and familiarity with AP style
• Computer skills for editing and writing; knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Experience with media monitoring platforms such as MuckRack
• Experience working with AI tools such as ChatGPT
• Familiarity with popular social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
• Ability to work with strict deadlines, juggling multiple priorities

Salary: $55,000-$65,000 annually, depending on experience
